Cluster commander congratulates police members on being promoted
With a higher rank comes more responsibility for police officers.
The cluster commander of the Germiston police, Brig Phumla Mdlankomo, praised police officers last Friday who were recently promoted to the ranks of lieutenant and major within the Germiston cluster.
Nine members were promoted, of which three were promoted to the rank of major and six to the rank of lieutenant.
“Mdlankomo congratulated the members and also explained to the officers what the new ranks mean to them and to the South African Police Service and encouraged the officers to lead by example,” said WO André de Jager, spokesman for the Germiston SAPS.
