Explosion at home leaves man in critical condition

A 20-year-old Primrose man is in a critical condition after suffering burn wounds, on Wednesday.

“Reports from the scene indicate that there was an accidental explosion at the man’s residential home,” said Athlenda Mathe, media liaison officer for Netcare 911.

Netcare911 paramedics responded to the scene and managed to stabilise the man.

He was placed on a ventilator and airlifted by the Netcare2 helicopter to a Johannesburg hospital for further medical care.
