Heatwave remains firmly in place

Hot temperatures set to continue in Gauteng.

The South African Weather Service has warned that the high temperatures being experienced across the province will persist until next Monday as the heatwave remains firmly in place.

Temperatures are expected to peak at highs of between 30 and 39 degrees in parts of Gauteng with a high probability of severe thunderstorms.

In addition to this warning the service has warned of high discomfort levels caused by the hot and humid weather and a possibility of veld fires.
