Stop-and-search yields results

The Katlehong South Police arrested 13 suspects on Wednesday, June 1, during a stop-and-search operation in the area.

The Katlehong South police arrested 13 suspects in only 24 hours.

The arrests were made during a stop-and-search operation, on Wednesday, June 1.

“The Katlehong police are ensuring that they are visible in the community, with daily operations throughout the area,” said Capt Mega Ndobe, communications official for the Katlehong SAPS.

The accused were arrested for various offences, including assault, shoplifting, possession of suspected stolen property, driving under the influence of alcohol, interference with police duties and possession of dagga.

All the suspects will appear in the Palm Ridge Magistrates Court soon.
