Katlehong police make arrests

A routine stop-and-search operation by Katlehong South police’s Crime Prevention Unit yielded results.

Katlehong South police arrested 24 suspects for various crimes, last Wednesday.

The suspects were arrested during a routine stop-and-search operation conducted by the Crime Prevention Unit together with detectives who were tracing suspects that appeared on their dockets.

Suspects were arrested for assault with the intent to cause grievous bodily harm, malicious damage to property, common assault and attempted murder.

Other suspects were arrested for being in possession of dagga and other drugs.

All the suspects appeared in the Palm Ridge Magistrate’s Court on various charges.
