Ekurhuleni youth festival to celebrate homegrown talent

Musical talent will be celebrated through the Ekurhuleni Youth Festival to be held at Germiston Lake on Saturday.

“Germiston Lake will be a hive of activity this coming Saturday when young revellers flock to the park for a musical festival,” said the metro’s spokesman, Themba Gadebe.

“The concert will form part of the Ekurhuleni Youth Festival to celebrate sheer musical talent.”

Gadebe also said that the festival’s big stage will host some of the well-known chart-topping musicians bred in Ekurhuleni such as Kwesta, DJ Mshega, DJ Shimza, The Muffins, Reason, and DJ Sbu.

“Other well-known musicians set to grace the festival include Cassper Nyovest, M-Tee, Nathi (Nomvula) and Ricky Rick.

“The metro will provide buses at all customer care centres which will leave for Germiston Lake at 10am.”

Entrance is free and cooler boxes are allowed but bottles will not be allowed into the venue.

The festival is set to start at noon.
