Another accident in the city claims three more lives

Three people died and one was critically injured in a car accident at the corner of Main Reef and Field roads, in Germiston, in the early hours of Thursday morning (July 7).

ER24 paramedics and other services including the EMPD and Ekurhuleni Disaster and Emergency Services arrived on the scene and found the vehicle that the people were travelling in near a cement block on the side of the road.

Three people, two men and a woman, trapped in the vehicle had sadly succumbed to their injuries.

They were declared dead on scene.

The Jaws of Life had to be used to extricate the fatally wounded.

A critically injured patient was taken out of the vehicle, treated and transported to hospital for further medical care.

The exact cause of the incident is unknown.

Authorities were on scene for further investigations.
