Metro technicians are currently carrying out progress repairs of a faulty cable supplying power to parts of Germiston.
To make way for the work a temporary power supply interruption has been implemented affecting the following areas: Delville, Parkhill Gardens, Lambton and surrounding areas.
Power supply is expected to be restored by 8pm this evening.
The metro apologises for the inconvenience caused and encourages residents to log service interruptions through the municipal call centre.
