Twenty-two arrested in Katlehong

The Katlehong South police arrested 22 suspects during various operations held from August 26 to 28.

The Katlehong Crime Prevention Unit, with the help of the EMPD, arrested 22 suspects on several different charges in the Katlehong South area from August 26 to 28.

The arrests were made during several police operations, including the police’s daily stop-and-searches.

The charges included assault with the intention to cause grievous bodily harm, common assault, warrant of arrest, murder, possession of an unlicensed firearm and ammunition, possession of a suspected stolen vehicle, trespassing, malicious damage to property, driving under the influence of alcohol and possession of drugs, including dagga.

The suspects are expected to appear in the Palm Ridge Magistrate’s Court soon.
