Stop-and-search yields results

Katlehong police continue their efforts to prevent crime in the area.

In a continued effort to crack down on crime in the Katlehong area members of the Katlehong Crime Prevention Unit held a stop-and-search.

During the operation, held last Tuesday, 19 suspects were arrested.

The accused were charged with several different offences including theft, common assault, assault with the intent to inflict bodily harm, pointing with a firearm, shoplifting, attempted rape and possession of dagga.

All of the arrested suspects will appear in the Palm Ridge Magistrate’s Court soon.
