Two dead after flash flood on N3

Paramedics work tirelessly to help those affected by flashfloods.

EMER-G-MED paramedics, as well as paramedics from other services are attending to a serious flash flooding incident on the N3 highway in Linksfield.

Upwards of 150 cars, over a stretch of two kilometres were affected.

It is believed that upwards of 10 cars have been pushed off the highway and down an embankment, some have been completely submerged in the river.

According to EMER-G-MED at this stage it is believed that two people have died due to drowning, it is unclear whether there are further fatalities.

EMER-G-MED paramedics are attending to multiple patients with minor injuries.

Search and rescue teams are still combing the area.
