In an effort to thwart criminal activities in the Elsburg policing district, the Elsburg SAPS and Incity Security conducted an operation together, recently. Setting off at 8am, the main objective of the day was to disrupt criminal activities in the area. The officers travelled in convoy with their sirens blaring through Elspark, Wadeville, Elsburg and Mimosa Park. Stop-and-search operations were conducted where suspicious people and motor vehicles were searched.

A security guard employed at a safari park in Botha’s Hill, Durban, was admitted to hospital after he had a close encounter with a highly venomous Mozambique Spitting Cobra. According to a medical director at Meditech, Michelle Smith, the man was doing a security check at a perimeter fence and had stepped up on a ledge recently when he saw the snake.

The Germiston Family Violence, Child Protection and Sexual Offences Unit recently arrested a 38-year-old man for the alleged rape of his daughter. “The child disclosed to a social worker that her father had allegedly had sex with her on more than one occasion, and had also asked her elder brother (12) to perform oral sex,” said Sgt Styles Maome, communications officer for the Primrose police.

4. Dawnview to have no water tomorrow: https://bit.ly/2h63WNA

The metro warned consumers in Dawnview of a planned water supply interruption on Friday, December 9, which would take effect from 7am until 4pm. The interruption was due to routine maintenance and repairs at the Hilltop Reservoir. Consumers were encouraged to store water sufficient to last them for the duration of the interruption.

The Primrose police recently arrested a 38-year-old man for domestic violence. The arrest was made after officers were called to the scene by the victim, who claimed that her boyfriend had beat her so severely that she fell to the ground. When her six-year-old daughter attempted to stop the assault she was hit as well.
