Katlehong police nab 24

Katlehong South police continue to crack down on crime in the area with weekend operations.

The Katlehong South police had a busy weekend, with a series of operations conducted in the area from December 9 to 11.

During the operations, held by members of the Katlehong Crime Prevention Unit and EMPD, 24 suspects were arrested.

The suspects were arrested for several difference crimes.

Charges included: housebreaking and theft; assault with the intent to grievous bodily harm; pointing a firearm; malicious damage to property; robbery, house robbery, theft, driving under the influence of alcohol, possession of drugs (dagga and nyaope) and contravening a court order.

The accused were held at the Katlehong South Police Station, pending their appearance in the Palm Ridge Magistrate’s Court.
