The Elsburg community showed they’ve had enough of crime recently.
While another three waited outside, three suspects entered a shop in Elsburg, at about 4pm.
“They held the owner at gunpoint and demanded cash, airtime, cigarettes and cellphones from him,” said Const Daphney Phooko, Elsburg SAPS communications officer.
“As they left the shop, community members were waiting outside for them.”

The community members managed to arrest four of the suspects.
“They assaulted them however and two of the suspects sustained serious injuries.
“All four suspects were admitted to a local hospital under police guard, for medical treatment,” Phooko said.
Police found a toy gun, a cellphone and a knife in the possession of the suspects.
The other two suspects who fled the scene are still at large.
