Almost two years after a man was found lying in a pool of blood with multiple stab wounds, in the Makause informal settlement, a suspect has been arrested.
The Primrose police had been searching for the 36-year-old man since May 2015, after an informant linked him to the crime.
“Before he was arrested it is alleged that he travelled to Lesotho.
“However, police received information that he had recently returned to Primrose,” said Sgt Styles Maome, communications officer for the Primrose police.
He was arrested and detained at the Primrose Police Station.
“This arrest will show criminals you cannot run away from the law,” said Maome.
The accused has since appeared in the Germiston Magistrate’s Court on a murder charge, and his case was postponed for a bail application.
