Just after midnight last Thursday, police officers from the Ekurhuleni West cluster were given information about a house being used as a base to sell drugs.
The tip-off came from an informant of one of the police officers.
The officers acted on the information later that day and went to the address in Kruger Street, Elsburg.
Upon their arrival, they found a 26-year-old woman alone in the house.
“The members searched the house and found seven packets of a white substance, suspected to be drugs,” said Const Daphney Phooko, the communications officer for the Elsburg SAPS.
The packets weighed 12 grams.
“The woman was arrested and detained at the Elsburg Police Station pending her appearance in the Germiston Magistrate’s Court on a charge of dealing in drugs,” said Phooko.
