A 23-year-old man was recently arrested by the Primrose police for house break-in and theft.
The arrest was made after the owner of a Clarence Road, Sunnyridge, home called the police to report the incident.
She told police that when she left for work everything was in order; however, when she returned she noticed her lock had been broken.
“When she inspected the home she discovered that two mag wheels had been taken.
“She asked her neighbours if they had seen anything and said they claimed that they had seen a man leaving the property with the stolen items,” explained Sgt Styles Maome, communications officer for the Primrose police.
The man was arrested and held at the Primrose Police Station, pending his appearance in the Germiston Magistrate’s Court.
His case has since been postponed for plea and trial.
