Gauteng Traffic Police celebrate Mandela Day

Gauteng Traffic Police celebrated Mandela Day at Stone of Hope Organisation in Maphanga Section in Katlehong, on July 18.

Amongst other things they spent the day painting the centre, giving road safety tips to children of the local community, cleaning and conducting a science show for children of the community

Gauteng Traffic Police senior inspector Ncumisa Galo said it is one of their ways of saying thanks to the fallen hero, Nelson Mandela.

“He spent many years of his life fighting to change the lives of all the communities of the whole world,” said Galo.

She said we are all free today because of him.

“The least we can do to say thank you, is to spend few minutes of our time changing the lives of those who can’t do anything for themselves,” said Galo.
