All hands on deck to restore power, says metro

Metro says power should be restored by this afternoon.

Metro technicians are working to repair faulty equipment which has resulted in a power outage in parts of Boksburg, Germiston and Wadeville.

While repairs are underway, there will be low water pressure in the affected areas as the water pumps are also affected by the power interruption.

Back-up generators are being used to minimise the inconvenience to customers.

The power supply is expected to be restored by this afternoon (Friday).

The metro apologises for the inconvenience caused.
