It was an absolute feel-good moment when Tigiza Holdings, in conjunction with DungBeetle Waste Management, which is situated near Vosloorus, donated 160 files to Phumula Gardens High School, in Germiston, on October 18.
The files were received by the principal, Selloane Laka, and Mantshadi Lepheana, the school administrator.
As a role player in the community, DungBeetle Waste Management is in the business of waste disposal and recycling.
Based in Vlak Plaats, which borders Vosloorus, DungBeetle services extend to all parts of Ekurhuleni.

The opportunity to assist the school was presented when the recycling company visited Tigiza Holdings, where employees Ursula Valades and Natasha Khumalo were in the process of arranging options for recycling of waste and unused stationery, including lever arch files.
“It was no doubt the files could be put to good use as they were still in great condition.
“The pupils will benefit from the donation as they will be able to file important documents relating to their studies,” said Ralph Chivaviro, of DungBeetle Waste Management.

Dungbeetle Waste Management also offered the school an opportunity to visit their site for an in-depth look into the waste management and recycling industry for their career guidance initiatives.
“There were a few other issues noted at the school that can be solved with some sponsorship and assistance from corporates,” said Ralph Chivaviro.
“We look forward to working with the school with future engagements and thank them for the opportunity to do some good.
“Let’s save the planet together!”
