Assumption Convent School once again held a beautiful Remembrance Day memorial on Friday.
The high school’s special assembly commemorating Armistice Day remembered all those fallen in conflict around the world.
At 11am on November 11, 1918 the guns fell silent across the Western front as Germany signed the Armistice Treaty ending Word War One.
In the months that followed, the fields of Flanders were filled with poppies.
Poppies are now worn on this day to remember the fallen in all wars.
The girls bought poppies to wear for the day and all their donations went to the SA Legion, which assists with the welfare of war veterans.
