Trailrun Melville Koppies this September
Melville Koppies and Trailfund Project are teaming up for a technical self-navigation trail run in September.
Melville Koppies is once again teaming up with Trailfund Project for a very special ‘self-navigation trailrun’ on September 13 and 20.
The nature reserve will receive a portion of the income that Trailfund Project receives. If you enter before August 31, you get a 50% discount on your ticket.
“This race tests your ability to navigate and handle technical trail terrain at your top speed,” said Trailfund Project organiser, Alex Weiss.

“There is no set start time either; it’s you against the clock, and you can choose when to start.”
The organisers urge participants to start no later than 09:30 to be out of the nature reserve before it closes at 11:30.
The race begins at Fingers Crossed in Emmarentia and runners do an easy warm-up run before reaching Melville Koppies to run trails that are more technical and challenging.
Prizes will be awarded to the fastest man and fastest woman and there’s a lucky draw.
Every runner who completes the course and returns to Fingers Crossed is guaranteed a free hot beverage and goodie bag.
