HELP NEEDED: Do you recognise this little boy?

Germiston Child Welfare is urgently searching for the parents of a little boy, or anyone who recognises the child and knows how to get into contact with his family members. Collin* (the society does not know his real name) was found by the SAPS on the corner of Rhodes Avenue and Colin Wade Street in Lambton on October 16, last year.

Watch Out: Severe thunderstorms and hail could be expected today

The weather still continues to be unpredictable, with dazzling sunshine turning to rain in just minutes. Last Tuesday the South African Weather Service warned residents to be on high alert as severe thunderstorms, heavy rain and hail were predicted from noon.

Dagga plants destroyed in Primrose

Members of the Primrose Crime Prevention Youth Desk worked tirelessly, together with officers from the Primrose Police Station, to destroy dagga plants found in the Makause, Marathon and Delport informal settlements. The plants were destroyed during two separate operations held on February 17 and 24.

A wet weekend ahead for Germiston

As clouds began to gather over Germiston recently the South African Weather Service has asked residents to be prepared for rain. In addition to the warning of heavy rains, over the central and southern parts of Gauteng, the service warned of severe thunderstorms and damaging winds.

A new hygienic era for Germiston Taxi Rank

A partnership between the metro, taxi associations and hawkers, marking a new hygienic era and an end to filthiness at the Germiston Taxi Rank was confirmed recently in Germiston.
