Man allegedly assaults girlfriend in Makause

Primrose police arrest a man for domestic violence after he allegedly attacked his girlfriend.

A 32-year-old man was arrested by the Primrose police recently for domestic violence.

The arrest was made after the victim of the attack, the accused’s girlfriend, opened a case at the Primrose Police Station.

“The woman told police that her boyfriend had arrived at her home to collect his keys.

“During the visit, and without provocation, the man allegedly began to shout and swear at the woman,” explained Sgt Styles Maome, communications officer for the Primrose police.

During the altercation the man allegedly punched the victim in the face, leaving her with serious injuries.

The man was arrested and held at the Primrose Police Station pending his appearance in the Germiston Magistrate’s Court.
