Germiston police tackle crime in the area

The Germiston SAPS recorded a number of successes last week with the arrest of 83 suspects.

Suspects were arrested on the following charges:

• Rape: 1

• Driving under the influence of alcohol: 11

• Shoplifting: 6

• Illegal gambling: 10

• Possession of suspected stolen property: 3

• Theft from a motor vehicle: 2

• Armed robbery: 1

• Dealing in liquor without a licence: 3

• Possession of dagga: 17

• Murder: 1

• Assault GBH: 10

• Assault common: 3

• Attempted murder: 1

• Fraud: 1

• Theft: 9

• Reckless driving: 1

• Trespassing: 1

• Malicious damage to property: 2
