Food safety is a priority says Criscuolo
South Africans should take care of themselves by developing healthy eating habits.
In the wake of the devastating listeriosis crisis, food safety is now a priority concern.
Health expert Giulia Criscuolo said South Africans should take care of themselves by developing healthy eating habits, eating the right foods and following a healthy lifestyle.
Criscuolo, a complementary medicines expert, pharmacist and life coach, saidSouth Africans should commit to improving their eating habits by focusing on the nutrient content in food and avoiding processed goods, fast foods and sugar.
She said one of the challenges is the mistaken belief that eating healthily is not filling or tasty.
She added healthy food such as fruit and vegetables can be both filling and delicious.
