The health promoter of the Elsburg Clinic is organising a Health Promotion Programme open day which will take place this Friday (May 25).
The clinic is situated on the corner of Voortrekker and Els streets in Elsburg and the event will run from 9am to noon.
The purpose of the event is to reach out to the community to create awareness about the existence of the clinic’s Health Promotion Programme and the other primary health care services that are rendered at the health facility and its allied partners.
The event is also aimed to address lifestyle aspects that compromise the well-being of people.
Emphasis will be on the following subjects:
• Nutrition
• Healthy lifestyle
• STI, HIV/Aids and TB
• Emergency medical services
Ward 39 councillor Alta de Beer is urging all residents to attend the event.
Those with complaints about the clinic and its services are also asked to attend and give their complaints to Alta who will address them with the clinic management and the MMC of health.
