Aware of the dangers of nyaope and alcohol, the Dukathole Crime Prevention Youth Desk held a dialogue to help steer community members away from substance abuse.
On a mission to combat substance abuse in their community, the Dukathole Crime Prevention Youth Desk (DCPYD) partnered with Silkworth Recovery and Care Centre last Wednesday.
The two organisations held a dialogue engaging community members and the Germiston SAPS.
Matete Mmola, a representative from the office of the MEC of Community Safety, headed the dialogue and revealed his battle with substance abuse and how he overcame addiction.
