A 44-year-old man was arrested by the Primrose police, last Sunday.
The man was arrested in the Makause informal settlement and charged with murder.
“Officers were alerted to the incident and raced to the scene where they found a man on the ground with a stab wound in his upper body,” said Sgt Styles Maome, communications officer for the Primrose police.

Paramedics were summoned to the scene and declared the victim dead.
“During the police’s investigation it was revealed that the victim was allegedly stabbed by his best friend.
“It is reported the accused stabbed the victim after he bragged about having an affair with his wife,” said Maome.

The man was arrested and later confessed to the crime.
“He told officers he had stabbed his friend but he was not aware that he was dead,” said Maome.
He was detained at the Primrose Police Station pending his appearance in the Germiston Magistrate’s Court.
