Tapiwa rises from tragedy to the top

After tragically losing both his parents in one day at the age of 17, Tapiwa Phiri had a troublesome matric year but still managed to come out as a top achiever. Tapiwa lost his mother, who had been battling depression, one Sunday morning in 2017 and upon hearing the news, later the same evening, his ill-stricken father suffered a heart attack.

Alleged cash-in-transit bomber nabbed by EMPD in Zonkizizwe

A man suspected of having been involved in the bombing of a cash-in-transit van belonging to Fidelity Security Group in early November, last year, in Tshongweni Section in Katlehong, where an EMPD officer was seriously wounded, was arrested in Zonkizizwe.

Nurses from Bertha Gxowa Care Centre took to the streets once again in an effort to stop the scourge of gender-based violence. This time the care centre took its gender-based violence awareness campaign to Golden Walk Shopping Centre, one of the busiest shopping centres in the city.
