Germiston SAPS crack down on crime in their precinct

Germiston police share their arrest statistics.

According to the latest arrest statistics released by the Germiston Police Station, 33 suspects were arrested between January 14 and 21.

The accused were arrested for various offences, including:

• Shoplifting: 6

• Driving under the influence of alcohol: 9

• Assault with the intent to cause grievous bodily harm: 3

• Malicious damage to property: 2

• Dealing in drugs: 1

• Theft: 3

• Reckless and negligent driving: 2

• Possession of drugs: 3

• Possession of house break-in implements: 4

Most of the suspects appeared in the Germiston Magistrate’s Court, where their cases were postponed for various reasons, while others paid an admission of guilt fines before being released.
