A member of the Yeoville SAPS, together with a complainant, descended on the Elsburg policing area, last Friday, while tracing a wanted suspect.
The suspect in question was wanted on a warrant of arrest for alleged fraud, theft and uttering.

“Upon their arrival in Els Street they found an unknown woman, alleged to be the wife of the suspect,” said Const Daphney Phooko, communications officer for the Elsburg police.
“The officer along with the alleged victim went into the house in search of the suspect.
“To their surprise they did not find the suspect, however, the complainant was able to identify property in the house allegedly stolen from his business premises as per the case opened at the Johannesburg Central Police Station.”

The woman, aged 36, was apprehended on a charge of being in possession of suspected stolen property.
She was detained in Elsburg SAPS custody and is due to appear in the Germiston Magistrate’s Court soon.
