The Katlehong police continued with their daily stop-and-search operations, last Monday.
The operation, conducted by members of the Katlehong SAPS Crime Prevention Unit, led to the arrest of five suspects.
The accused were charged with various offences.

Charges included:
• Assault with the intent to cause grievous bodily harm: 2
• Driving under the influence of alcohol: 2
• Dealing in drugs and the assault of a police officer: 1

All of the arrested suspects appeared in the Palm Ridge Magistrate’s Court, where their cases were postponed for various reasons.
Katlehong SAPS acting station commander Col Doctor Sibuyi commended the team on their efforts and encouraged the community to report crimes and criminal activities in the area.
