A 47-year-old Marlands man was arrested by the Primrose police, recently, on a charge of domestic violence.
It is alleged that the man attacked his wife in their home after coming home late.
“The victim told the police that she had been asleep when her husband arrived home late at night,” said Sgt Styles Maome, communications officer for the Primrose police.
“He reportedly demanded to have sex with her and when she remained quiet he attacked her.
“During the attack he allegedly accused her of sleeping with other men.”

The woman sustained injuries to her mouth, left arm and her right middle finger.
“Using the information given by the victim, the accused was found and arrested,” said Maome.
He has since appeared in the Germiston Magistrate’s Court, where his case was postponed for plea and trial.
“We once again appeal to our community to seek help when they encounter challenges in their relationships,” said Maome.
