Man arrested for Pluto Street house break-in

Primrose police apprehended a man on a charge of house break-in and theft in Primrose.

A 22-year-old man was arrested by the Primrose police last Friday on a charge of house break-in and theft.

It is alleged the man was involved in a Pluto Street house break-in that happened last Wednesday.

“The homeowner alleged that when he returned home at about 2.30pm in the afternoon he noticed his door had been forced open,” explained Sgt Styles Maome, communications officer for the Primrose police.

“Two mountain bikes, two cameras and several other items, all to the value of R21 000, were stolen in the house break-in.”

The accused was quickly traced and arrested.

He was detained at the Primrose Police Station and has since appeared in the Germiston Magistrate’s Court, where his case was postponed for plea and trial.
