It is a warm summer’s day and Alice falls asleep by the riverside, but is soon awoken by a White Rabbit, clearly in a state of panic.
She chases after the strange creature and tumbles down a hole into Wonderland.
The classic tale of Alice in Wonderland is known and loved by many, and recently, parents, teachers and special guests at Assumption Convent School watched the story come to life on stage.
Assumption Convent, in association with St Benedict’s Preparatory School, presented Alice the Musical, which was based on the classic tales and poems by Lewis Carroll.

The nonsense of Wonderland was captured beautifully in this engaging, fast-paced, exciting and hall-filling production.
It really was a visual and audio treat with breathtaking sets and costumes complemented by a live band, high energy and catchy songs and elegant well-thought-out dance routines.
The production was directed and produced by Keneyon Loock and Yolanda Swanepoel and choreographed by Dayle Lloyd.
The production was a great success.
