Heavenly Flowers School takes first aid and the safety of their learners very seriously.
With this in mind, and before the management team of the school headed to the polls last Wednesday, they completed their American Heart Association HeartSaver CPR AED course at Turtle Life Support in Lambton.
The team included Heidi Searle (the school’s owner), Nicolette Joseph, Daleen Harris, Natasha Viljoen, Leon Nel and Neil Kelham.
“The well-being of our children is the primary focus at Heavenly Flowers,” said Heidi.
“Although we have facilitated first-aid training for our staff throughout the years, we decided to step up to the next level.
“Turtle Life Support approached us and encouraged us to take part in the American Heart Association’s HeartSaver CPR AED course, with the main focus being high quality application of CPR.
“We all know the ABCs of first aid, but what was encouraged during this course was the mastery of CPR techniques.”

The team now feels better equipped to handle many different emergencies.
“We now feel confident to apply CPR,” Heidi said.
Barry Mey, general manager of Turtle Life Support, commended the team on their approach to the course.
“It’s not often we get such an enthusiastic bunch of people who have the desire to learn more and put their skills to the test.
“Their commitment to first aid it exemplary,” said Barry.
