Busy week for Primrose police

The Primrose police share their latest arrest statistics.

The Primrose police arrested 36 suspects between June 6 and 12.

This is according to the latest arrest statistics released by the station.

The accused were charged with a number of different offences.

Charges included domestic violence, assault with the intent to cause grievous bodily harm, driving under the influence of alcohol, warrant of arrest, possession of illicit cigarettes, possession of drugs, dealing in liquor without a licence, house break-in and theft, business break-in and theft, reckless and negligent driving, common robbery, theft, shoplifting and contempt of court.

The Primrose SAPS station commander, Col Albertina Vesi, thanked everyone who contributed to the successful arrests.

Most of the suspects appeared in the Germiston Magistrate’s Court where their cases were postponed for various reasons, while others paid admission of guilt fines at the station and were released.
