Thokozile Beverly Caluza Mazibuko, whom she last saw during a family gathering in Bergville, KwaZulu-Natal, in 2002.

An 83-year-old Vosloorus pensioner, Busisiwe Mazibuko, is appealing to the readers of Kathorus MAIL to help her find her missing daughter, Thokozile Beverly Caluza Mazibuko, whom she last saw during a family gathering in Bergville, KwaZulu-Natal, in 2002.

Speaking on behalf of the distraught family, the missing woman’s uncle, Bhekeni Mazibuko, said the family has spent the past 17 years trying to find Thokozile. The uncle described how a family gathering in their home village of Bethane in Bergville turned out to be the last gathering they had with Thokozile.

“The latest we’ve heard about her is that she married a Malawian man whose name was given to us as Freckson Mhoni Banda. The couple’s son is a long-distance taxi driver operating between Malawi and Gauteng. But we’ve been to just about every cross-border taxi rank in Gauteng without any success,” said the uncle.
