The Elsburg police, with the help of the EMPD, arrested nine suspects in their precinct.
The accused were arrested between September 6 and 9 for various offences.

Charges included:
• Driving under the influence of alcohol: 3
• Common assault: 1
• Contempt of court: 1
• Shoplifting: 1
• Theft: 1

Two of the suspects were charged with multiple offences, including business robbery, attempted murder, possession of a firearm and discharging a firearm.
Elsburg SAPS station commander Col Ntombizini Thethe thanked the team for their efforts.
All of the arrested suspects appeared in the Germiston Magistrate’s Court, where their cases were postponed for various reason.
