Several streets in Gerdview have been without power since Wednesday.
“The power has been off since about 10am,” explained Ward 36 councillor Wendy Morgan.
The affected streets include Haarlem, Weert, and Batavia streets and Emden Road.

“Metro technicians are currently busy with emergency repairs on the local transformer and have estimated that power with be fully restored by 7pm today, Thursday,” said Morgan.
“I have asked for further clarity on the problem but have not received any feedback.
“Power was restored to some houses at around 5.30pm yesterday, but residents complained about voltage issues.”
