‘What happened to the morals?’
The problem of teenage pregnancy and sexual harassment at schools can be solved if the Department of Basic Education was serious about eradicating it.
I work close to a school where the majority of learners are white and I find it strange that not a single girl learner at this school can be seen wearing a tunic that is above their knees.
Yet young black learners at schools in the townships are allowed to dress like prostitutes with dresses that expose their thighs. My question is: Why is the department as well as headmasters of schools in the townships allowing female learners to come to school wearing clothes that doesn’t leave much to the imagination?

Yet, it is at these same black schools where the majority of teenage pregnancy issues are most prevalent and the authorities are doing nothing about this. I appeal to the MEC for Education, Panyaza Lesufi, to please do something about this.
What happened to the moral degeneration programmes the ANC government was proposing to introduce in the country? Something needs to be done to teach our schoolchildren about morality and being decent.
