Woman allegedly loses teeth in attack

Primrose police arrest man on charge of domestic violence.

A woman allegedly lost her teeth in an attack in the Delport informal settlement, last Sunday.

A 32-year-old man was arrested on a charge of domestic violence following the incident.

“The complainant told police that she was at home when two women arrived at her gate,” said Sgt Styles Maome, communications officer for the Primrose police.

“They asked her to come with them to the home of the boyfriend of one of the women as he wanted to speak to her.

“When they arrived at their destination one of the women told the complainant to leave the man alone as they had been seeing each other for some time.”

The victim tried to leave, but was allegedly grabbed by the collar by the woman’s boyfriend.

“The suspect allegedly hit her with a clenched fist,” said Maome.

“She allegedly lost teeth in the attack.”

The suspect was arrested and detained at the Primrose Police Station.

He has since appeared in the Germiston Magistrate’s Court where his case was postponed for plea and trial.
