Primrose police arrested a 33-year-old woman on a charge of assault with the intent to cause grievous bodily harm, last Sunday.
The suspect was arrested in the Delport informal settlement after the victim of the alleged attack opened a case against her.

“The complainant alleged she was hanging washing on the washing line at her residence when her neighbour approached her and told her to remove the washing,” explained Sgt Styles Maome, communications officer for the Primrose police.
“The victim laughed at the suspect, who became angry with her and asked her what was so funny.
“She then reportedly began swearing at the complainant and told her she was too old to wear short dresses.”
The complainant asked the suspect what her problem was.

“The suspect allegedly hit her with a clenched fist and bit her on the upper body,” said Maome.
Using the description given by the victim, the police were able to trace and arrest the suspect.
She was held at the Primrose Police Station, pending her appearance in the Germiston Magistrate’s Court.
