A 58-year-old man was recently arrested by the Primrose police on a charge of possession of suspected stolen property.
The suspect was arrested in the Makause informal settlement after he was identified by the complainant.

“The complainant alleged that when he recently returned home from work he found that the padlock on his door had been forced open,” said Sgt Styles Maome, communications officer for the Primrose police.
“He inspected his home and discovered that his security certificates, his ID document, a competency certificate, a sports bag and clothes, were missing.

“The next day when the complainant was sitting outside his shack, he reportedly saw the suspect carrying the stolen items.
“He took the suspect to police and handed him over.”
He is held at the Primrose Police Station pending his appearance in the Germiston Magistrate’s Court.
