EMPD arrests traders for selling schedule 4 drugs without a licence

The EMPD Drug Enforcement Unit members raided a spaza shop at a local shopping complex and arrested a 28-year-old trader for selling of schedule 4 drugs without a licence.

The goods, valued at R4 500, were confiscated by the police while the trader was detained at the Vosloorus Police Station. The man was charged for selling Schedule 4 drugs without a licence and not being registered to practise as a pharmacist.

According to EMPD spokesperson Kobeli Mokheseng, the suspect is expected to appear in the Vosloorus Magistrate’s Court soon.
