Covid-19: Germiston Red Cross cares for the vulnerable during lockdown
The Germiston Red Cross is providing essential services to the community.
The Germiston branch of the South African Red Cross Society is providing essential services to the most vulnerable communities during the 21-day lockdown.
They are doing this by promoting preventative health-care practices, distributing soap and sanitisers and preparing and serving hot meals to the homeless in the Germiston CBD.
“The need far exceeds our resources, so we appeal to businesses and individuals to donate in cash or kind,” said Barbara Jensen, manager of the Germiston branch of the South African Red Cross Society.
If you can assist the Germiston Red Cross contact Barbara on 011 873 9009 or at bjensen@redcross.org.za.
