While on patrol in Beaconsfield Avenue, last Tuesday, officers from the Primrose Police Station noticed a man acting suspiciously.

“The 19-year-old suspect reportedly became noticeably panicked when he saw police,” said Sgt Styles Maome, communications officer for the Primrose police.
“The officers stopped, introduced themselves and searched him.
“During the search they found two small foil packets inside his front left pocket, which they believed contained drugs.”

When questioned where he had obtained the packets from he allegedly claimed a Nigerian man, but he was reluctant to tell or show police where.
He was arrested on a charge of possession of drugs.
He will appear in the Germiston Magistrate’s Court soon.
