Katlehong SAPS continues to target criminals in their precinct

The Katlehong police shared their weekend arrest statistics.

Fifteen suspects were arrested in Katlehong during several weekend operations.

The operations held between May 15 and 17 were carried out by officers from the Katlehong police’s Crime Prevention Unit, detectives from the Katlehong Police Station and members of the EMPD in several different areas within Katlehong.

This is according to the latest arrest statistics released by the Katlehong Police Station.

The suspects were charged with various offences.

Charges included contravening the Disaster Management Act (Covid-19 Act), attempted murder, common assault, business burglary, theft out of a motor vehicle, house break-in and theft, possession of house break-in implements, possession of suspected stolen property, reckless and negligent driving, possession of drugs and driving under the influence of alcohol.

All of the arrested suspects were held at the Katlehong Police Station pending their appearance in the Palm Ridge Magistrate’s Court.

Katlehong SAPS acting station commander Col Phakama Gcaza thanked everyone who contributed to the arrests.
She set a stern warning to would-be criminals that their days were numbered.
