Primrose police achieve a conviction
Ncube (28) was arrested and found in possession of cellphones stolen from the shop.
Lwazi Ncube was recently convicted for a business robbery and attempted murder, which happened at a Rietfontein Road store, on October 7, 2020.
Primrose Det Sgt Sam Ngqoleka from the Ekurhuleni Trio Task Team investigated the case where Ncube was arrested and found in possession of cellphones stolen from the shop.
Primrose SAPS spokesperson Sgt Styles Moame said the accused pleaded guilty at his first appearance in court on December 12, 2020.
“The accused was sentenced to four years’ imprisonment or pay a fine of R100 000 of which R50 000 or two years’ imprisonment was suspended for three years.

“This means that should he not commit a crime again in three years, Ncube will not be liable for the suspended R50 000 or two years’ imprisonment,” said Maome.
“The acting station commander of Primrose SAPS Lt Col Mbazima Maswanganyi and his management thanked Det Sgt Ngqoleka for his hard work and dedication while working on this case.”
